Star Wars Scarf, lightsaber

The next part is a lightsaber. I think it looks a little more like a sword. After looking up some pictures I try to do some changes.

To keep track were I am in the pattern I use a highlighter.

I think the result is good enough but the lightsaber is too long. I don't want redo it so I am dropping just the stitches I need to change.

Knitting a Star Wars Scarf, part 3

So instead of follow the pattern and doing every other black and every other white, which is a pain, I did all the same color so it looks like they are standing on the ground. After that I added something that could look like stars or spaceships.

Cat house

So the question is what to do with all the yarn that is just a little left of. The cat would love a house to "hide" in. Seems like it is good as it is.

Bathroom mat

I needed a bathroom rug so the question was what could I use to make it. I had a lot of jeans that the family had grew out of. So after a lot of cutting I could start crocheting a new bathroom mat.

Star Wars Scarf, part 2

Here we go. One more aircraft. First the Millennium Falcon that Han Solo is flying and then a X-wing that Luke Skywalker flies. I am doing this in double knitting so it is very thick, maybe I should make something else than a scarf out of it. I will see what I make.

Knitt a Star Wars Scarf, part 1

Starting a new knitting project. It is going to be a Star Wars scarf. A little wide due to the thick yarn but I need to use up the yarn I already have. I used a free pattern I found at Ravelry but I changed it a little.

Sponge Bob Square Pants Crochet Hat

Sponge Bob Square Pants Crochet Hat

So, finally done. Sponge Bob Square Pants Crochet Hat. It was tricky to make it square. I made one long narrow piece and then two small pieces for the sides. Since I didn't had any pattern it was a lot of redoing.

How to make a Zebra Striped Crochet Hat

I wanted to try a new pattern I found so I made this zebra striped hat.

Zebra striped crochet hat

First I measured the length of my head from my forehead up to the top of my head.  Then I made a chain that long. The hat turn out a little bit to small so add a few chain.

Crochet in the back loops only.

A Half Double Crochet (HDC) is done like a double crochet but you pull trough all of it at once instead of dived it up in two steps.

Row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and keep going. End row with chain. Turn.
Row 2: As row 1.
Row3: Switch color and repeat.

When I was almost done I realized the width had changed, it was smaller. Ops. I most have mist the last chain at the end. Redo.

When the hat is wide enough decide which side is going to be out. Then you can stitch it or crochet it together. I took one loop of each side and crochet them together.

Then I weaved around the top of the hat and pull tightly. I had to fix a few spots that didn't look so good but the hat end up pretty good.

Sea Hawks Crochet Hat

Super Bowl is going to be in Phoenix this year. It is so exciting. The football fans are following and cheering on their teams. The rest of us is just waiting to see what this year biggest commercial hit is going to be. I am not a fan of any football team I prefer to watch soccer. I guess cross country is my sport.

But I can still do team hats. This year I got orders on both Sea Hawk hats and Buffalo Bill hats.

A Door Stopper

A Cat Door Stopper.

It could be a hat but it is a door stopper. Fill a bag with sand and put it inside this cat and you have a cute door holder.

Fyll en påse med sand och stoppa in den in i katten. Sy igen hålet och nu har du en söt dörrstopp.
